Driving up Paulina Peak

Newberry Nat. Volcanic Mon. – Our visit to the Painted Hills yesterday was as far to the east as we would go in Oregon this year. Now we were headed south towards our first destination for the day: Newberry National Volcanic Monument. We retraced our route through Prineville, Bend and went south on the Hwy 97.
