Driving up Paulina Peak

Newberry Nat. Volcanic Mon. – Our visit to the Painted Hills yesterday was as far to the east as we would go in Oregon this year. Now we were headed south towards our first destination for the day: Newberry National Volcanic Monument. We retraced our route through Prineville, Bend and went south on the Hwy 97.

Our Last Post from Dallas

A Few Day Trips – We took a couple of day trips during our stay in Dallas. One to the coast, back up to Cape Lookout. We had been there before and only got a short way down the trail to the ocean. This time we came more prepared for a longer walk.
